Summary

HowToFish.click is a fan-made browser game site. We minimize data collection by design: no accounts, no passwords, no profiles. Your game progress is stored locally in your browser.

Game save data (localStorage)

The game stores your progress - coins, fish caught, upgrades, unlocked areas, achievements and settings - in your browser's localStorage under the key htf-save-v1. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data deletes your save.

Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages and game features are useful. Events are limited to gameplay and navigation signals such as game_start, fish_caught and tool_used - no names, emails or precise location. If third-party analytics (such as a configured analytics provider) are used, they operate under their own policies; this policy will be updated accordingly.

Cookies

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Third-party services (if added later, e.g. advertising) may set their own cookies with their own policies.

Children

The game is a family-friendly fishing game with no chat or social features. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
